This Is How Much Kelly Clarkson’s Tennessee Home Will Cost You

Grammy-winning singer Kelly Clarkson has been living comfortably inside her Tennessee mansion since 2012. Recently, the Texan has been trying to get rid of it, but no one’s willing to spend so much cash. Now, Clarkson slashed the asking price to attract potential buyers.

Get It For Cheap

Clarkson’s Tennessee mansion is being sold for $7.5 million. This is $1.25 million less than her original selling price of $8.75. The Hendersonville abode is located 25 miles from Nashville, which means it won’t be a long ride to catch some rising country acts. The property is enough for someone with a big family. The mansion features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a master suite. As expected, this property comes with some nifty extras, including a gym and a saloon-themed bar.

Clarkson first moved to Tennessee back in 2007 with the purchase of a stone cottage in Nashville. She sold the property for $1.2 million in 2011. Clarkson got married to Brandon Blackstock at Tennessee’s Blackberry Farm. “We had this big plan, and then, we just took our kids and then got married with this person we didn’t even know—but it was the most amazing thing—under a little barn on a river. It was so beautiful! It’s cool to make it intimate because your life is always in the public eye,” Clarkson shared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

A Change Of Scenery

Because of the aforementioned TV show, Clarkson had to relocate to Los Angeles. Making her way to the West Coast was a challenging experience. “Texas and Nashville have been pretty much my only (places) that I’ve ever called home. It’s definitely a big move for us. We’re not excited about the geography. I’m not gonna lie. But we are excited about the opportunity to come with that show,” Clarkson told The Tennessean.

With her stint on The Voice, Clarkson received offers to start her own talk show. The Texan politely turned them down until her husband gave her an honest reason to do one. “There’s a lot of negativity happening, a lot of division happening, and one of my big things – even on tour – is to bring people together. My audience is filled with random people that would probably never be in the same place,” she said on  “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “I want my show to be like that, and [my husband] kinda sold me on the fact of all the good we’d be able to do, and inclusion and all of that.”

Having A Chat

When it comes to talk shows, some singers don’t have success in the field. Rapper Queen Latifah held two talk shows in the career; both were canceled due to low ratings. Singer Harry Connick Jr.’s talk show Harry lasted two seasons before being canceled by NBC. Fortunately for Clarkson, ratings for her show are holding steady. Being the lead-in for The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been beneficial. The show gained a Best Talk Show nomination at the 10th Critics’ Choice Television Awards. Clarkson is up against heavy hitters such as “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.” In November, the show was renewed for a second season.

While Clarkson has been riding the success of her show, music is her main love. With her time spent in Tennessee, Clarkson found herself wanting to record more country music. “I’ve done more than thought about doing a country album, I actually started making one. I love it. I love country music. And who knows? I love big band, too. I’d love to make a complete standards album,” told The Tennessean in 2015. With her new show, fans might have to wait to hear Clarkson’s new country tunes.
