Five Great Songs Pink Wrote For Other Artists
Published on December 8, 2018

For almost 20 years, Pink has been one of the most beloved pop artists. Like many singers, she writes many of her own tunes. A if that’s not enough, she lends a helping hand with her songwriting abilities. Here are five amazing songs you probably didn’t know she wrote.
Take A Picture
For 2003’s Moodring, Mya brought on a bevy of heavy hitters for the release. Pink helped bring the song “Take a Picture” to life. Mya and Pink originally worked together on their Grammy nominated cover of “Lady Marmalade.” Prior to their successful careers, they both ran into each other as teens via producer Daryl Simmons.
If You’re Gonna Fly Away
In 2002, Faith Hill released Cry, which became her second album to hit number one on the Country charts. For the 14 track release, Pink teamed up with Linda Perry to write the song “If You’re Gonna Fly Away.” A year prior to Cry, Perry helped co-write half of Pink’s sophomore album Missundaztood.
Recovering
After the death of husband René Angélil in 2016, Celine Dion knew she had to carry on in his memory. To aid her, Pink wrote the song “Recovering,” which hit number one over in Quebec. The song is slated to be featured on Dion’s upcoming English language album.
I Walk Alone
In 2013, Cher dropped Closer To The Sun, which was her first studio album in 12 years. For this release, Pink wrote two songs: “I Walk Alone” and “Lie To Me.” Released as the fourth single, “I Walk Alone,” which also features Pink’s vocals, peaked at number two on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.
Whataya Want From Me
Released in 2009, Adam Lambert’s “Whataya Want From Me” became his highest charting single to date. The track was originally slated to appear on Pink’s 2008 album Funhouse, but it was dropped. Those wanting to hear Pink’s version can hear it on the Australian and German releases of her Greatest Hits… So Far!!! release.
