Arriving on May 17, John Wick: Chapter 3 will bring everyone’s favorite ex-hitman back to the big screen. For Keanu Reeves, this is just another iconic role in his 35-year acting career. What he had to endure to film this epic adventure is quite intriguing.

A Horse With No Name

While working on the movie, Reeves had a sit-down interview with Collider. This time around, Wick finds himself rolling through the area on a horse!

“I thought it would be cool if John Wick escaped on a horse, so we got John Wick riding some horses, fighting with some horses. That was fun. I thought would be cool if John Wick was in a suit in a desert, somehow. So, we’re going to go to some desert. We got some cool story there that is opening up the world. We’re really fans of the world. I love the character, so I was like, “How do we get John Wick on a dune?,” he told Collider.

Drown The Pain

Onset injuries for something this intense is a constant. Reeves is known for constantly getting injured offset, though. From a hockey puck to the face to motorcycle crashes, the actor is nearly indestructible. When it comes to fight scenes in John Wick 3, Reeves was extremely lucky.

“I’ve only been hit in the face a couple of times. I have only hit one person – well, two people once. (laughs). Everyone’s really good,” he told Collider.

For The Fans

With the John Wick franchise, Reeves found himself a new slew of fans. Much like his iconic roles as Ted Logan and Neo, it has its perks. “It’s been really fun to be on a street and be in a store that people like, and sometimes love. That’s really nice,” he told Collider.

John Wick: Chapter 3 will also star Halle Berry, Anjelica Huston, and Ian McShane.
