Red Carpet Alert on Mingle Media’s TV photostream

2019 was a huge year for Jennifer Lawrence. She starred in Dark Phoenix, began production on two new film projects, and married her best friend, Cooke Maroney. The art dealer met Lawrence through a mutual friend, and they’ve been together ever since. Though they’ve kept much of their relationship private, Lawrence and Maroney were excited to announce their engagement in February 2019. On October 19th, they married in an exclusive Rhode Island wedding at the Belcourt of Newport venue. While very few details about their relationship or wedding have leaked to the press, this one tidbit has fans somewhat confused.

J-Law’s Dress Is A Mystery

Because their wedding photos have been kept under lock and key, no one really knows what Jennifer Lawrence’s wedding dress looks like. However, we do know that Dior, the French fashion brand who has brought some of the actress’s most memorable red carpet looks to life, created the custom gown. Lawrence wore Dior to the 85th Academy Awards in an iconic white lace dress. She has also modeled for them, so it comes as no surprise that Lawrence chose Dior to design her most important look. Elle UK got the best glimpse of the dress in a blurry, distant photo. It showed the top of her gown, which featured some sparkly detailing and a jewel neckline, as well as the romantic updo she chose. However, the photo did not show any detail or the full length of the dress, so fans must continue guessing until the official wedding photos are released.

How She Protected Her Look From The Media

Jennifer Lawrence has always kept much of her private life under wraps. Her relationship with Cooke Maroney just barely leaked to the press before they were engaged, and not much is known about her husband other than his success as an art gallerist. However, for her wedding, J-Law took it one step further. To keep it from being photographed by the paparazzi, she booked the dress its own hotel room for the wedding weekend. The entire Dior team that was hired for her wedding transported and stayed with the dress to ensure that no one got close to photograph it while she was dressing or styling it before their wedding photos. While this may seem a little over the top, her plan worked. Currently, only one photo of Lawrence on her wedding day is available for the public. Brand loyalty certainly paid off for her, as the Dior team went above and beyond to help her have a perfect wedding experience.

Lawrence Is Over The Moon About Her Marriage

On the Naked podcast with Catt Sadler, Jennifer Lawrence told fans about her decision to marry Cooke Maroney: “I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married.’ I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him… He’s my best friend so I want to legally bind him to me forever. And fortunately, that paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest, you find your favorite person on the planet and you’re like, you can’t leave. So I wanted to take that offer.” It sounds as if Jennifer Lawrence has found the perfect man to spend the rest of her life with. While she has dated several Hollywood A-listers, none have seemed to make her as happy as Maroney. And, with such a private wedding, it’s clear they’re in it for the right reasons. While it may take some time for official wedding photos to surface (if they ever do), you can see more of Jennifer in her upcoming films, or find the latest updates on the Lawrence-Mahoney wedding on Jennifer Lawrence’s official fan website.
