Sealing Your Fate
As previously mentioned, Dark Fate continues the events of the popular 1991 sequel. This means the previous three Terminator movies, including 2015’s Terminator Genisys, are not canon. These films exist in their own alternate timeline. For producer James Cameron, this was a way to make things right for the fans. As the co-creator of Terminator, he gained international fame. He announced plans for Terminator 3 many times in the ’90s, but nothing was released. Due to Carolco Pictures’ bankruptcy, rights for the franchise were sold to Mario Kassar and Andrew G. Vajna. This year, Cameron will regain a good portion of the rights.

Back To Life
With this being a continuation of Judgment Day, this means Sarah Conner didn’t die. In Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, the character lost a three-year bout with acute myeloid leukemia. After being away from the franchise for so long, Linda Hamilton was a bit hesitant to rejoin.
“I gave it probably six weeks of intense thinking and consideration before deciding to do it. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to. I didn’t want it to look like a shameless money grab. I am living this quiet, lovely life that doesn’t involve being a celebrity, and you really have to think, do I really want to trade that in again for another 15 minutes?,” she told Variety.
Hasta La Vista, Baby
For Arnold Schwarzenegger, he loved different visions from Cameron and film director Tim Miller. “There were interesting discussions about which direction to go with a certain scene or how the dialogue should finish or what the certain look should be of an individual and all that stuff so there was a big collaboration between Jim and Tim Miller. I feel it was in good hands with both of them,” he told The Arnold Fans.
The sci-fi movie also stars Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, and Natalia Reyes.
