Nobody Showed Up to His Birthday Party, Until The Cops Pulled Up…

No one likes spending their birthday alone without any friends to celebrate with, but there’s an added sense of tragedy when it happens to a little kid.
A Parent’s Worst Nightmare
That’s exactly what happened to Toxey Andrews on his tenth birthday. Despite the fact that his mom invited 21 of the boy’s classmates to come to his party, not a single one of them showed up.
Toxey’s mom, Angela, was understandably heartbroken for her son. She shared a Facebook post on the evening before his birthday after she realized that none of the children would be showing up. It wasn’t just her friends that saw her post, though. Unbeknownst to Toxey, the Arkansas State Police were about to make his 10th birthday one that he would never forget.
On April 4, a few days after his depressingly empty birthday party, Toxey heard a knock at the door soon after he had gotten home from school. When he opened the door, he couldn’t believe his eyes.
Standing in front of him was a line of Arkansas state troopers and a K-9 named Rhino. Although Toxey said that he was somewhat scared at first, it all made sense once he saw what the police officers had brought him.
In addition to a delicious cookie cake, the troopers had brought Toxey a whole bunch of different gifts, including video games and a scooter. The officers didn’t just drop off a bunch of gifts and leave, though. They stuck around to play a game of hoops with the boy, and even let him run the cruiser sirens and horn.
They Made The Boy’s Year
Toxey was absolutely beaming after his surprise party. “If I am remembering right,” he said, “this is the only birthday that I have had with people coming.”
His mother was also thrilled with the generosity of the police force. She took to Facebook to write a thank you note: “They made my sweet baby’s day, and his year!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never be able to repay the kindness you showed my family today!!”
